Let’s quickly take a closer look at both Fahimeh and Rey to learn what makes them so perfectly qualified to handle all of your beauty-related needs.
Working in the salon business for more than 30 years, Fahimeh has been running her own business for the last 27. At one point, Fahimeh owned five different international salons, including one in Beverly Hills. Today, she is very proud to be owner of Hair Designer’s Studio in Santa Monica, and has the pleasure of working with her daughter on a daily basis.
When it comes to qualifications in the salon business, they don’t much better than the resume that Fahimeh has compiled. The list of schools where she was educated in cosmetology includes many of the best in the world, including Glenby International, Marie Pierre, and Vidal Sassoon. Her graduation at the top of her class just goes to prove the level of knowledge and experience that Fahimeh has to offer all of her clients. Beyond the formal education, she has also had the pleasure of gaining training from sources like Goldwell, Paul Mitchell, Nexxus, KMS, and more. When you add it all up, it equals one obvious conclusion – you will know you are in good hands when you come see Fahimeh at Hair Designer’s Studio.
A licensed cosmetologist since July of 1994, Rey has been interested in hair and style since before she can remember. Starting by caring for the hair of her dolls as a small child, Rey has come a long way over the years. She began her career working at Farhad’s Limag in Beverly Hills. There, she learned countless invaluable lessons including the skills of hair color, cuts, updos, and makeup. Following that beginning, she later moved on to spending three years in Westwood working at Sigal Gevojanyan.
It is a dream come true for Rey to be able to work alongside her mother as co-owner of Hair Designer’s Studio. She places a special emphasis on the personal touch that should be present in any upscale salon. She is constantly working to improve herself through seminars and workshops to ensure she is up on the latest styles and trends. Through private consultations, Rey is able to understand and meet the needs of each individual client that she works with.
The journey of Hair Designer’s Studio in Santa Monica has not always been a smooth one, but we are committed to this community and our loyal clients. The building in which the salon is located was damaged during the 1994 Northridge earthquake, and the studio was the only business to remain open through the following two-year construction project. Also, the salon has survived through many road construction projects which have limited access to the storefront and made it difficult for customers to arrive. This perseverance is not only a tribute to the hard work of Fahimeh and Rey, but also the loyalty of the clients that Hair Designer’s Studio is lucky enough to have.
